Why I'm running for school board
I was inspired to run for the school board because I believe our students deserve an education that truly prepares them for what comes next. After more than a decade working in education, I have seen how clear expectations, consistent standards, and thoughtful governance make a real difference in student outcomes.
I bring experience in science education and educational leadership, along with a strong understanding of the role of a governing board — setting policy, providing oversight, and making decisions grounded in accountability and transparency. I am committed to representing our schools with fairness, steady leadership, and a focus on ensuring every JO Combs Unified School District diploma reflects meaningful learning and genuine readiness.

With a foundation in teaching biological sciences and extensive work in health sciences leadership, I understand how rigorous standards and consistent application positively impact student success. My career has focused on program quality, student outcomes, and ensuring readiness beyond graduation, all of which are critical for the JO Combs Unified School District.
